EXPRESSING OUR SENSE OF PLACE

The food menu of EAT draws from the wealth of product from our local farmland, nearby fisheries, and organic vegetables growers.
In writing our menu we have sought out the best primary local ingredients, from meat to fish to vegetables in order that you can experience your landscape through our food. Our food philosophy demonstrates a commitment to good food presented in the warm and friendly setting of a gastro pub. While we change our menu often, do take heed of our seasonal special which we write on our blackboard daily.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

EAT Potted CrabEAT, n. to offer artisan and organic food; to use meat and chicken from sustainable farms; to source the best local fish and serve it in a relaxed gastro-pub environment; to use seasonal produce, such as wild game direct from Drumoland Castle; to offer its customers great, affordable wine; to educate its customers about the importance of ethical eating; to cut chips from organic potatoes; to sell mussels and crab sourced from Connemara; to make food fun and interesting, especially for children; to do parties for large groups who want real food cooked properly; to be innovative, interesting, and creative while obeying the standards set by tradition; to be Irish, to use Irish; to be Galway, to support our local environment, our community, each other.
